COVID-19 has thrown the underprivileged unexpected challenges – starvation, digital divide, loss of family, the loss of confidence. Well, co-founder of the Saturday Art Class, Manasi Mehan has risen to that challenge. In reaching and educating the children who could not afford what we consider necessities, Manasi Mehan spearheaded teaching through art and expression, reaching over 2500 families and 12394 individuals to spark a period of personal and intellectual growth.
Inspiring the young audience to ‘never think twice before helping anybody’, Ms. Manasi Mehan feels that art is a powerful language that enables one to express oneself. Manasi Mehan is the co-founder and CEO of Saturday Art Class, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the upliftment and improvement of children from low income communities all across india. Manasi, who holds a masters in sociology and is a Teach for India aluman, is currently a part of the Gratitude Network Fellowship and the 2020 Global Social Benefit Institute JumpStart accelerator program that work to build leadership while accerlerating growth in social entreprenuers as well as women.
