Redirection though Rejection | Bella Aprilia | TEDxUNPAR
On her first TEDTalk, Bella Aprilia, an undergraduate of Parahyangan Catholic University, challenges the audience to look at their past failures as an opportunity. Living by the values of a growth mindset and persistence, she highlights the importance of finding a balance between being an idealist and realist. She further elaborated on the topic using her very own personal experience which changed her perspective on life. Bella Aprilia is an undergraduate student of International Relations Parahyangan Catholic University Batch 2017. She is a highly motivated student that is actively involved in several projects and organizations, as she has led more than 200 team members from different projects and divisions in the past two years. Outside her organizational experiences, she has joined several national and international academic competitions or conferences, she was selected to represent UNPAR in Pertemuan Nasional Mahasiswa HI se-Indonesia (PNMHII) XXX, Harvard National Model United Nations (Boston, USA), and Indonesia Representative in Asia Pacific Week International Conference (Australia). Her outstanding performance in academic and non-academic activities led her to be the awardee of 2 prestigious scholarships in Indonesia, XL Future Leaders by PT. XL Axiata and Beswan Djarum by Djarum Foundation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
