My songs. My stories. | Jzel Ramos | TEDxUOA
Through Jzel’s calm and soothing voice, she takes us through her journey as a singer-songwriter and how she coped during the unprecedented time of lockdown. Her voice, relaxing. Her songs, emotional. Her performance, resonating! Jzel Ramos is a 19-year-old local musician, well-known for her young, raw, acoustic vibes from genres of Pop, Ballad, and Modern hits. On December 2017, she co-wrote her first single, ”Strangers Again” released by NZ artist Ciaran McMeeken. The single was then released on music platforms – Spotify, Apple Music, etc as of 2019. Although established quite recently, Jzel has performed at events around Auckland, as well as competed in Stand up Stand Out music competitions, Starlight Talent Shows and involved in songwriting collaborations with NZ artists such as Ciaran McMeeken, Abby Wolfe and Anabac. Jzel is also a first-year student at the University of Auckland, majoring in Biomedical Science. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
