Is your “best self” virtual? | Ashley Keeney | TEDxNortheasternU
What defines who we really are? And who do we want to be? We are constantly asked to introduce ourselves, yet always struggle to summarize our entire lives into a genuine answer. With a strong technological presence, our digital fingerprints can reveal some interesting information about our lives. Ashley has spent 15 years studying the retail landscape and understanding the tactics, patterns, and motivations of consumer purchasing. Taking a look into your own spending habits and technology usage can help us uncover our truths — perhaps our online selves are more real than we thought! Ashley Keeney has enjoyed a career dealing with consumer goods. After starting her career with Procter & Gamble, she moved to Reckitt Benckiser and together spent 15 years studying the retail landscape and understanding the tactics, patterns, and motivations of consumer purchasing. Now, as a lecturer at Northeastern University, she combines her real world experience with the foundations of consumer study. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
