If It Isn’t Impossible, It Isn’t Worth Trying | Marc Rayman | TEDxColoradoSprings
Trying to rescue a NASA spacecraft with a fatal injury almost a million times farther away than the International Space Station would be impossible. The man who was faced with this incredible obstacle had been passionate about exploring the cosmos for most of his life. Dr. Marc Rayman shares the thrill, the inspiration, and the struggle of leading bold interplanetary adventures as well as a surprising life lesson he learned. Dr. Rayman is a top rocket scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has been captivated by space since he was four years old and knew by the age of nine that he wanted to get a Ph.D. in physics and work for NASA. He has been responsible for exciting missions to distant, mysterious, alien destinations, sometimes using technology seemingly taken right out of science fiction.
