How to Use Imagination to Recreate Yourself | Billy McMullen | TEDxYouth@RVA
What do you do when you aren’t the person you want to be? When former NFL player Billy McMullen stopped playing football, he lost a piece of his identity. In his talk, Billy reflects on how he recreated himself using his imagination – and the help of a supervillain. Billy McMullen is a former Philadelphia Eagle and University of Virginia All-American receiver. He was the all-time leading receiver at UVA after his 4-year tenure. He played 7 years in the NFL, winning the 2005 NFC Championship and earning a trip to Super Bowl XXXIX. After his career, Billy became heavily involved in the community, coaching and mentoring young people. He is also a motivational speaker, who inspires people of all ages and backgrounds to understand their true identity of power through his message: MADEFREE. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
