How to Transform the Way You See Yourself | Julie Ulstrup | TEDxCherryCreekWomen
Women do not want to be photographed. Working with women in business, education, health care, technology, philanthropy, innovation and all areas of leadership, they have this one thing in common. We create a new vision and a new perspective to disrupt old ways of thinking through a portrait experience.
Since nearly 90% of all information our brain processes is visual, female leaders must show up to be seen authentically in photographs, online and in our homes. By creating an opportunity to be vulnerable, we design a session to create portraits of empowerment, transformation and elevation for ourselves as well as those around us. When we see ourselves as confident, powerful, authentic and beautiful we become that which we are seeking. Born in the City of Angels, raised in the Windy City, Julie now calls the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains home. It is here that Julie lives and shares her dream of creating portraits that bring the beauty inside out, allowing others to see themselves in their most authentic and vulnerable light. Julie captures not just an image, but the soul.
As an empowerment photographer Julie helps her clients to see themselves in a way they have never seen themselves before. Her current project, 50 over 50, Julie continues this work as she inspires women to celebrate themselves exactly where they are.
Her passion is and always has been to empower women; because she believes an empowered woman makes the world a better place. She is often referred to as “An Elevator of Women” because of the transformation that occurs during a session with her. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
